Smoothie How-To Plus 3 Go-To Recipes

Are you finding it hard to avoid the snacks and get your protein in?

Protein keeps you satiated. If you’re not getting enough protein in, chances are, you’re going to be hungry! Smoothies help me get my protein in (especially when I’m not wanting to eat meat, or I just don’t have anything prepared). Keep reading for a smoothie how-to!

Pick a protein:
👉 Greek yogurt
👉 cottage cheese (whipped or Good Culture cottage cheese work best)
👉 protein powder

Pick a veggie:
👉 frozen spinach
👉 frozen kale
👉 frozen carrots

Pick a fruit(s):
👉 frozen strawberries
👉 frozen blueberries
👉 frozen banana
👉 frozen mango

Pick a fat:
👉 nut butter
👉 coconut oil
👉 raw nuts or seeds
👉 avocado

Pick a base:
👉 water
👉 coconut water
👉 pineapple juice
👉 almond milk

Blend everything together and enjoy!

Smoothie Bowl

4oz Trader Joe’s carrot turmeric juice
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 frozen banana
140g frozen mango
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tbsp ground pumpkin seeds

You can change up the ingredients anyway you want! The above concoction tasted like a nutty creamsicle. I’ve also used banana, peanut butter powder, and chocolate protein powder, and it tastes like chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

I love to make these when I’m craving something sweet! ☺️

Banana Berry Smoothie

This is my smoothie of the week right now. Why? It’s so easy to get a ton of veggies in! And no, you can’t taste them at all!

Banana Berry Smoothie

1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 tbsps peanut butter powder (optional—but I love the flavor this adds)
103g frozen blueberries
130g frozen strawberries
100g frozen banana
1 cup frozen spinach
1 cup frozen cauliflower
1 cup water

Blend and enjoy! 😎

Summer Melon Smoothie

This one tastes like a sherbet smoothie and is simply amazing!

1 cup frozen cauliflower
130g frozen strawberries
120g cantaloupe
1 scoop vanilla protein
1 cup water

Blend and enjoy!
